We’re all familiar with the buzz you feel when you are attending a conference, especially a huge conference like the 2013 RID Conference. You chat about your favorite presenters, word gets around about the best workshops, and people set their agendas for the business meeting. After attending presentations given by experts in the Interpreting field for a week, you leave the conference with a boatload of CEUs, a renewed sense of what’s going on in the industry and maybe you even made a motion that will further the profession.
StreetLeverage is partnering with RID and has been named the official Social Media Sponsor of the 2013 RID Conference in Indianapolis. StreetLeverage is an online forum which hosts discussions and blog posts from industry leaders. It has served as a healthy platform for this dialogue and hosted a live conference in April 2013. I had the good fortune of working at the StreetLeverage-Live conference as well as working with them in Indianapolis.
Currently, I am at the 2013 RID National Conference, to be part of the StreetLeverage team and to deliver up to date posts on events at the conference. I’m excited to be able to be a part of the mix, and at the same time provide access for interpreters at home all over the nation.
